WHAT: Career Exploration and Leadership Summer Camp
WHERE: Vincennes University, Vincennes, IN

COST: Free to 25 Camp Scholarship recipients; $125 to non-scholarship campers
UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES This camp offers life skills training, team motivation, group dynamics, challenge leadership, planning and leading meetings, career experiences in many areas, technology enrichment, and many more areas of concentrated learning.
EXPLORING CAREERS Campers will be able to explore different career options while at camp. Vincennes University provides hands-on instruction in many career options including Broadcasting, Culinary Arts, Technology, Law Enforcement, Journalism, Audio Recording, WEB Master, Music (Music Business), Fine Arts/Commercial Art Design, Business Administration, Funeral Home Management, Bowling Alley Management, Surveying, and Foreign Language.
GROW YOUR EXPERIENCES by meeting new friends, practice time management, learn new skills, , and meet college counselors. You will enjoy air-conditioned recreational facilities, dining and housing.
Twenty-five registrants will be selected for FREE camp registration (fee will be refunded), provided by Vincennes University.
Adult teachers/counselors/principal who accompany a student(s) may attend the camp FREE of charge and enjoy some special professional development experiences for their enrichment. Please complete form and check Adult _____. Adult sponsors may also visit the career awareness module. Housing for students and sponsors will be in suites. Two suites share a private bath. Campers are to provide bedding, towels and toiletries.
Scholarship for the Future: At the close of camp, a drawing will be held for a 1/2 tuition scholarship for two semesters for one lucky camper to attend Vincennes University as a full-time student. This scholarship is renewable for an additional two semesters with approved academic progress.
The Indiana Association of School Principals, Department of Student Programs, under Kyle Harrop’s direction, will provide a fast-paced, exciting camp. The counselors are experienced teachers/camp counselors ready to assist high school campers in a rewarding, fun-packed, hands-on, enriching time to learn about skills and careers they may not have the chance to experience again.
Learn while you enjoy the NEW OPTIONS presented at this unique camp. Be a better team member and leader. Learn to challenge yourself and others. Explore new fields of study available at VU, and build new friendships as you network statewide. $125 provides all meals, housing, and learning experiences. A $50 deposit is required with registration, with balance due by July 1, 2007.
