Danny Tanoos is the Superintendent of the fifth largest school district in the State of Indiana. The Vigo County School Corporation in located in Terre Haute, IN and educates approximately sixteen thousand students.
Danny has been in education for thirty one years. He has served as an elementary teacher, elementary school Principal, middle school Principal and is starting his thirteenth year as Superintendent. He has served on many local, state and national committees. For nine years he served on the Indiana State Board of Education and also served on the Governor's Roundtable.
Vigo County School Corporation has not had a reduction in force or closed any schools during this very difficult economy. Employees received a 1.3% increase last year and 1.6% increase this year.
